I was browsing through my Twitter feed today when I stumbled upon this Tweet from book blogger Chachic of Chachic's Book Nook:
Thank you for the rain of comments on my blog, @alexalovesbooks! Will reply to all of them later. :)

Curious, I visited Alexa's Twitter page, and found out she had a blog called Alexa Loves Books. I also recognized her, from her profile photo, as one of my batch mates from the Ateneo de Manila University. I recalled we were classmates in one of my Communication electives, and confirmed that she actually is a graduate of AB Communication from the Ateneo.

As I scrolled down her profile page, I noticed on her left sidebar a 'challenge' section, where there was a button for Flights of Fantasy Reading Challenge 2015, hosted by book blogs Alexa Loves Books and Hello, Chelly.
I love reading fantasy novels and I want to read as many of them as I can this 2015, so I'm officially joining the Flights of Fantasy Challenge. My goal is to read 30 fantasy books this year. And when I say books, I'm including short story anthologies, which I've been reading several of recently. One anthology equals one book.
The challenge is for me to read a certain number (of my choice) of fantasy books in 2015. I have to post personal updates of my progress every last Sunday of each month, and get the chance to win giveaways. The more books I've read, the better chances I have of winning. I can also earn bonus points for reading their Alexa's and Chelly's favorite fantasy reads, as well as their joint favorites.
Looking at their list of over a dozen favorites, the only books I've read are the seven Harry Potter novels and The Hobbit. I've been looking forward to reading Throne of Glass and Queen of the Tearling for several months now, but I've never heard of the other books before. I can read my own selection of books, but the bonus points are tempting--plus, they're recommended reads, so they're probably really good.
I'm really looking forward to reading 30 fantasy books this year, and completing the Flights of Fantasy: Reading Challenge 2015 (I keep typing 'Flights of Fancy' by mistake. Lol). I'll be posting my January update this Sunday.
